A native New Yorker now living in Tel Aviv, Schelly Talalay Dardashti is a journalist, blogger, online genealogy instructor and speaker, focusing on all aspects of Jewish genealogy.
Schelly writes the top-ranked Jewish genealogy blog, Tracing the Tribe, http://tracingthetribe.blogspot.com and the general topic MyHeritage Genealogy Blog for the genealogical social networking site, MyHeritage.com.
Her interests cover all possible aspects of Jewish genealogy, including DNA genetic testing and issues involving Converso/Bnai Anousim and Persian Jewish history. She is co-administrator of the IberianAshkenaz DNA Project at FamilyTreeDNA.com, which genetically link some 75% of Eastern European Ashkenazi Jewish project participants to Hispanic individuals with Jewish roots.
