Ira Wolfman is a writer/editor, publishing consultant, and genealogy enthusiast, who has produced award-winning magazines and books for children, parents, and teachers. Ira has written four books, including Climbing Your Family Tree: Online and Off-line Genealogy for Kids (Workman, 2002), and Jewish New York: Notable Neighborhoods and Memorable Moments (Rizzoli, 2003). He discovered the joys of genealogy at the first JGSNY Beginners’ Workshop in 1987. The proud father of two sons, Ira lives in New York City, and can be reached at irawolfman (at) yahoo.com
